Villa Leksell
Island holiday home in the Stockholm archipelago. Newbuild comprising main house, guest house, free-standing sauna and boat-house.The island is situated in a relatively sheltered part of the central archipelago. The developed plot is located to the south of the island, where it has the sea in three directions. Externally, the buildings have been arranged to conform to the topography and other natural features of the environs and to make the best use of the sun while providing shelter from the chilly prevailing winds. In deciding on the design and position of the main building, we also tried to minimise the apparent size of the main house (275 m2 divided into nine rooms, excluding maintenance areas etc.). The fixtures have been designed by us, while the magnificent sofa and a number of beautiful tables in the large living room are the work of interior designer Tommy Sundberg. Furnishings and carpentry products have been made and fitted by Lars Bokstedt Snickeri.
